About Our Lincoln Lawn Care Company
We’re a lawn care company built around one thing Lincoln homeowners keep asking for and rarely getting: someone who actually shows up.
Why We Started
Spend five minutes in any Lincoln neighborhood group and you’ll see the same posts. Someone needs their yard mowed near 32nd and Randolph. Someone needs it done before a birthday party tomorrow. And nearly every post has the same line somewhere in it: must be reliable.
That tells you what the real problem is in this market. It isn’t price. It’s people who take a deposit and disappear halfway through July, or show up whenever it’s convenient, or need you to already own a mower.
We built this service to be the opposite of that. Scheduled crews. Our own equipment. Work that gets done the same way every visit.
How We Work
We bring everything. Our own commercial equipment, our own trained crew. You don’t provide a mower, a trimmer, or anything else. You provide access to the yard.
Every mow is a complete visit. Mowing at the correct height, string trimming, hard edging along driveways and sidewalks, and a full blow-off of hard surfaces. We change mowing direction each week so your lawn doesn’t develop ruts.
We time services to Nebraska, not a national calendar. Crabgrass pre-emergent goes down based on soil temperature reaching 50 to 55°F at a 2-inch depth, not on a fixed date. Fertilization is weighted toward September, which is when cool-season grass actually builds roots. Aeration and overseeding happen in the August-to-September window when they work.
We tell you what your lawn doesn’t need. If you don’t have a grub problem, we’re not going to sell you grub control. If your brown patches are compaction rather than disease, we’ll tell you that.
Built for Lincoln’s Conditions
Lincoln is a genuinely difficult place to grow grass, and most generic lawn advice gets it wrong here.
Heavy Clay Soil
Lincoln sits on windblown loess over clay-rich glacial till. It compacts easily and drains slowly, which is why annual core aeration matters more here than in most cities.
Alkaline, Not Acidic
Much of eastern Nebraska runs pH 7.5 or higher. National guides that tell you to add lime are giving you advice for someone else’s soil.
Real Temperature Swings
Winters drop well below freezing, summers push into the 90s, and cool-season grass takes stress from both ends.
Water Conservation Matters
On a hot summer day, more than half of Lincoln’s daily water supply goes to lawns and landscape. Proper mowing height and deep, infrequent watering aren’t just good for your grass, they reduce your bill and the strain on the city’s supply.
We lean on University of Nebraska–Lincoln Extension research for timing and rates rather than whatever a product label suggests nationally.
What We Do
Weekly mowing, fertilization and weed control, aeration and overseeding, crabgrass prevention, grub control, dethatching, lawn disease treatment, bare spot repair, new lawn and sod installation, soil testing, spring and fall cleanups, and snow removal.
We work on residential and commercial property alike. Alongside home lawns, we maintain business parks and office complexes, HOA and neighborhood association common areas, apartment communities, and rental portfolios for property managers. Commercial accounts run on contract pricing with larger crews and scheduling built around your operating hours. See our Commercial Lawn Care services.
We stay in lawn care. We don’t do hardscaping, tree work, or general landscaping, because doing one thing properly beats doing eight things adequately.
Where We Work
Every zip code in Lincoln, from the Haymarket to the Highlands, Havelock to Wilderness Ridge, plus surrounding Lancaster County communities including Waverly and Hickman.
Our Guarantee
If you’re not happy with the work, tell us and we’ll come back and make it right at no charge. No arguing, no invoice.
